Kids Summer Vacation
Well I am finally starting to get some of our summer pics scanned and into the computer, as most of you know Hanna and Michael got to spend 3 weeks this summer with thier Grandparents in Colorado. They had a lot of fun and have already started talking about next summer vacation. It sure was hard for me to let them go, it scared me having them so far away for the first time ever. Of course they were driving me crazy within a day of being back home that even I have started making plans for time away from them again next summer!..heehee The pictures above are from our drive to meet Penny and Ron in Kansas, and pictures from When Corey and I got to Colorado to pick the kids up, just hangin out at thier house, eating good food as always! I still have more pictures of Colorado to scan and also pictures from our trip to Lake McConaughy and the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha Nebraska. So check back again sometime this month and hopefully they will all be on the site.

Scanning Has Started!!
I spent some ( a long ) time scanning in a few pics this afternoon, it is a very tedious process, plus trying to decide which pictures to scan. I have way too many pictures to put them all on the web page. It will probably take me a couple weeks just to scan in the pictures I want to post.

Well I still have not gotten the vacation pictures scanned into the computer yet, but I have managed to completely clean off my desk and all drawers and compartments so if I do get the urge to scan pictures this week I can at least work at a clean space.
Not alot going on here, last Tuesday sept 11th the kids participated in punt,pass and kick, something that pepsi and gatorade put on every year, kids 8-15 are divided into age groups and get one chance to pass, punt, and kick the football , the distance is measured and recorded. First place winners in each age division get to go on to other competitions, until finally out of all the states competitors you have a boy and girl winner for each age group that get to do thier final competition at an nfl game, I think the super bowl I am not sure, anyways Hanna placed SECOND place in her school! yeah Hanna! She has a certificate and a pretty red ribbon. Corey and I are so proud of her! Two other girls in her class Kayla got the first place and Leanne also will go on in the competition. Good Luck Kayla and Leanne!!
Michael was sent home from school on Wednesday, we got a phone call at 1:45 saying that Michael had an accident and had slid down the wall into an electrical outlet plate that was exposed on the gym wall, apparently there were cones set up around the area to keep kids from bumping into it, Michael was playing dodgeball got hit by several balls at once stumbled backwards into the cones which he then tripped over and fell against the electrical outlet caught and tore through his shirt and left a 3-4inch gash on his back and was gaping open, probably going to have to go get it stiched up to close the gash...Corey was off that day, so he went to the school to get him, since the nurses office insisted that he needed to be picked up so that he could get his back looked at. Corey brings him home we take off the bandage that the nurses office put on him, and could not believe that they seriously sent michael home for this!! it was a SCRATCH!! sure it was 3-4 inches long maybe an inch or more wide, but it was a scratch! there was no depth to it! it looked like he had tried to shave and just took off that top layer of skin, it was hardly bleeding, all I could do was laugh, I could not believe they sent him home for this, at this time it was a little after 2 and michael gets out of school at 2:25 had it been earlier I would have taken him right back to school. Michael said the office called him back up to the nurses station the next day, they wanted to know if he had gone to the hospital, he said no it is just a scratch, he does have a nice sized bruised around that area though and was a little sore from that.
Not much else going on around here, weather has been so beautiful the kids have been trying to stay outside and enjoy as much as they can everyday, Corey has been working long hours, and I just doing the usual housework and running errands,and hanging outside with zeus playing ball since the days have been so nice and cool, I can't wait for fall!

Finally getting it Started!!
Well I am finally getting around to finding and putting some pictures of the kids on thier own web page, so all our family and friends can drop by anytime and see how we are doing and what Michael and Hanna are up too. I have talked about doing this for sometime, hopefully I actually follow through with this project and keep the site updated frequently.
I am going to go ahead and send our web address out to family and friends, so please excuse the "mess" for the next few weeks while I format the web page to my liking, but hopefully everytime you visit you will see something new added.
Some of you I talk to often and you already know what we are doing practically every minute of the day and you might get bored with the site, but please keep in mind this will be a way for extended family to read and keep up with our lives as well. I will try to keep it interesting for everyone though. So stop in and check out our page often! Leave us a comment or two if you would like, we would love to hear from everyone! Be "seeing" you soon!
